Greetings!

My name is Morgan Ruppert and I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and Professional School Counselor. I earned a Master of Education in Counseling from Louisiana State University in 2023. I currently work as a full time school counselor in the community along with my role here at Meraki.

Therapy is truly a gift to oneself, and I want to help you in whatever stage of life you are finding yourself in these days. So much of life is about the journey – and the people we meet along the way! Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship or peer issues, or even topics like self image and identity, I would be more than happy to walk with you in that journey. Along with these topics, I am also Level 1 Certified in Gottman Couples Therapy and have 2+ years of experience using evidence-based techniques for career exploration with young adults. I am currently learning more about the benefits of sound healing in the therapy space.

I value incorporating Emotion-Focused techniques into my practice, as they allow me to help clients deepen their emotional awareness, process challenging feelings, and foster meaningful change. By focusing on emotions as a source of insight and healing, I am able to facilitate a supportive space where clients can navigate their past experiences which may have held an impact, and learn to build healthier emotional connections.

I see individuals ages 18 and older, offering traditional in-person appointments and virtual appointments. I am available in the afternoons from Monday – Friday.

Whatever you are going through, however you’re going through it, I admire your strength. Healing can be a hard road, but it can also be a very meaningful one. I would be honored to accompany you along your way!

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here and taking this step toward healing and growth. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re seeking something different from what you’ve experienced before—perhaps a more creative, compassionate, and embodied approach to therapy. Maybe you’ve tried therapy in the past, or maybe this is your first time. Either way, I want you to know that this space is open to you, just as you are.

I imagine you might be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or maybe just in need of a fresh perspective. Life’s challenges can feel like they weigh us down—whether it’s grief, navigating the complexities of gender or sexual identity, or simply feeling like you’re not being seen or heard in the world around you. I want you to know that it’s okay to feel this way. You don’t have to carry it all alone.

In our work together, I hope to help you cultivate self-compassion and self-love, to explore your creativity and express yourself in ways that feel healing. If you’ve struggled with feeling stuck or disconnected from your body and emotions, I offer somatic approaches to help you re-establish trust and connection within yourself. Our bodies hold wisdom that can lead us to deeper understanding, and sometimes the answers we seek aren’t always found in our minds alone.

I also understand that identity matters. Your unique gender, sexual, and cultural identities are celebrated and honored here. This is a safe space for all gender identities and sexual orientations, where I will work with you to affirm your experiences and empower you to navigate the world authentically.

Above all, I’m here to create a space where you can feel accepted unconditionally, without judgment. My approach is flexible, creative, and rooted in social justice. Whether you’re grieving, dealing with life transitions, or simply looking to grow into a stronger, more self-compassionate version of yourself, I’m here to walk beside you. Let’s work together to embrace your power, creativity, and unique identity—because you deserve it.

I look forward to meeting with you and being part of your healing journey.

Hi! I’m Taylor, a fellow human and a counselor. I work with adult individuals who experience a range of challenges or struggles. The primary areas of focus I work with include self-compassion, anxiety, women’s issues, self-esteem, values clarification & alignment, mind & body connection, stress, self-exploration, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation – all in effort to help with learning, healing and growing, as well as enhancing and embodying authenticity, empowerment and connection.

While I pull from several approaches, I strive to always maintain open-mindedness, compassion, curiosity, education, and exploration within the care I provide. I strongly value and am committed to providing trauma-informed, holistic, inclusive and affirming care. Diversity, equity, and social justice are also values I hold close as a therapist and as a human. I view the therapeutic relationship to be one that consists of collaboration, feedback, honesty, and mutual respect.

In my sessions, the way I approach therapy depends on the individual and the day, as we all have different needs and from time to time even those needs can change. I prioritize meeting people where they’re at in every session. I lean toward a direct communicative style with openness to providing a more indirect communicative style if preferred. I like to utilize techniques pulled from traditional talk therapies and beyond – all of which are customized to tend to each individual’s needs. As a holistic therapist I prioritize mind, body & soul, so I’m open to incorporating practices and activities that are of interest and important to who I’m working with. This may include certain expressive activities and/or spiritual practices – such as prayer, tarot, rituals, ceremonies, as well as art, poetry, music, and dance/movement. Approaches I pull from can include ACT, CBT and psychodynamic, as well as somatic approaches, compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness-based, Jungian, nature therapy, spiritual practices, and expressive arts.

If what I’ve shared resonates with you and/or you’re curious to learn more, please know I’m here and would be honored to meet or chat with you!
